Mango Teen’s Global Expansion: London Debut and Spanish Store Openings

Mango Teen, the youthful branch of the renowned Spanish fashion house Mango, has made a significant stride into the international market by inaugurating its maiden store in London. Situated in a prime location near Carnaby Street, the 230-square-meter store represents a pivotal moment in Mango Teen’s endeavor to captivate and engage with a younger audience on a global scale.

According to Berta Moral, the director of Mango Kids and Teen, the launch of this inaugural international store symbolizes a shift in the brand’s vision to inspire and share a fervor for fashion with the youth. Recognizing the United Kingdom as a key player in the global fashion landscape, Mango Teen views it as a strategic market essential for establishing a strong global presence across all its product lines.

While the London store marks the commencement of Mango Teen’s expansion beyond Spain, the brand is gearing up for further growth by unveiling another store in Andorra later in the season. Despite its international forays, Mango Teen’s primary focus remains on Spain, where plans are underway to introduce 15 new stores in the near future. By the end of the year, the brand aims to double its standalone store count to 25, with recent expansions in Ibiza, Málaga, and upcoming openings in Galicia, Asturias, and Murcia.

The brand’s expansion strategy also includes strengthening its presence in regions like the Basque Country, Andalusia, and Catalonia. In Barcelona, Mango Teen has set its sights on a location with historical significance, taking over a space where Mango’s first store opened its doors in 1984. All Mango Teen outlets adhere to the brand’s New Med store concept, drawing inspiration from its Mediterranean heritage to create a welcoming ambiance reminiscent of a Mediterranean home.

Launched in 2021, Mango Teen caters to teenage consumers with a diverse range of products encompassing clothing, footwear, and accessories. The brand has filled a void in the market with contemporary and youthful designs that set the tone for modern youth fashion. Initially focused on online marketing, Mango Teen has expanded its reach to over 50 markets globally, engaging customers through pop-up stores in key locations and establishing physical stores in strategic Spanish cities.

The brand’s accelerated growth in recent years has contributed to a notable increase in revenue for the Teen and Kids lines, now accounting for 8% of the group’s total sales. Mango’s overarching strategic plan for 2024-2026 aims to fortify its unique value proposition, foster sustainable growth, and diversify its offerings. This roadmap includes ambitious growth targets in Italy and a revenue goal of 4 billion euros by 2026, building on the company’s strong financial performance and commitment to innovation and expansion.
